COVID-Related Deaths in County Now at 111

The Effingham County Health Department Thursday reported a COVID-related death. The person, who was in their 60s, was unvaccinated. 

This death brings the number of confirmed COVID-related deaths in the county to 111.

The Department also announced 94 new positive cases of Coronavirus Disease since Monday; when added to the numbers released that, 67, they bring this week's total to 161.

52 of those cases involved people under age 40.
