Missouri Trucker Injured in Wednesday Crash

A Missouri truck driver was injured in a crash in Fayette County during the noon hour Wednesday.

41-year-old Angela Smith of Cuba, Missouri was traveling west on I-70 near Vandalia at 12:08pm. For unknown reasons, Smith's semi left the roadway, crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, and went into the south ditch. Smith was injured and was transported to the hospital for treatment. 

Smith was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
