The Board also discussed the Jasper County ambulance service. A contract is being finalized between Jasper County Ambulance Service and the Jasper Unit #1 School District would require the school district to pay $10,000 to cover ambulance attendance and any non-transports at school events. The ambulance department has signed the conttract and action by the school board could come at this week's meeting. The agreement would cover ambulance costs for the school district when an ambulance is needed to staff events.

The Board also approved a $26,000 salary for the ambulance department manager above the normal hourly wage for working the truck as a paramedic.
