Fayette Board Votes to Dismiss Transfer Station Application

Fayette County Board members have voted to dismiss a siting application for a solid waste transfer station south and west of Brownstown.

The Board dismissed the application after Fayette County State's Attorney Josh Morrison stated that the legal description of the proposted site did not match the description included in the filing application submitted by Chris Sutter of Countryside Disposal.

Once the action was taken, the Board did not revisit whether the application met all nine of the siting criteria for a transfer station.
