Effingham Man Arrested on Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault Charges

An Effingham man was in court Tuesday after his arrest on charges of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child.

66-year-old Martin G. Hubbard was arrested by Effingham city police Monday. The charges are Class X felonies, meaning mandatory prison time if he is found guilty of the allegations.

Hubbard's bond has been set at $800,000. He is next due in court on Thursday.
