Dieterich school board members Monday heard the Dieterich Sportsbackers regarding future projects the group would like to assist the school district in completing.

The main project would be concrete and netting at the baseball and softball fields.

The board approved the 2021 tentative tax levy and agreed to place the document on display until consideration for adoption at their December meeting. The Board also renewed its membership in the Illinois Association of Rural and Small Schools, and were updated on parent-teacher conferences that took place in October.

Dieterich board members adopted a resolution allowing the District to enter into the Teacher Retirement System Supplemental Savings Plan Employer Participation Agreement. The agreement will allow the District to offer a qualified deferred compensation plan under a section of the Internal Revenue Code.

In personnel moves, the Dieterich board hired Sara Egan as an aide, Carie Bloemer as a part-time custodian, Nicole Flood as head junior high volleyball coach, Tyler Pilcher as boys JV basketball coach, and Jeff Fritchtnitch as a consultant to the district. Also, Jeff Overbeck was employed as a volunteer coach for girls high school basketball, and Shanna Niebrugge and Nicole Flood were approved as student teachers for Spring semester.

The Board also approved an early graduation request for a student in December, and received certificates of appreciation for School Board Members Day on November 15.
