Unit 40 Board Expected to Hire Next Superintendent Tonight

Effingham Unit 40 school board members tonight are expected to hire the next Unit superintendent.

The new superintendent will take over duties on July 1, 2022, following the retirement of Mark Doan. Board members are hoping for a smooth transition. 

Meetings were held earlier this month with finalists for the job.

The Board is also expected to discuss replacing the grass football field at Klosterman Field with a turf surface. 

Meeting time is 6pm at the Unit offices on South Banker Street.
