The defendant in a case alleging solicitation of murder for hire remains in Fayette County Jail without bond.

35-year-old Mark Fulk of Farina is accused of approaching a man and offering him cash, a motorcycle, an auto shop and a house if he would kill Fulk's wife.

Effingham attorney Lou Viverito has been retained as Fulk's defense counsel.

Prosecutors have asked that bond for Fulk be denied.  A hearing on bond will take place with a preliminary hearing on the merits of the case on April 24.
