Effingham Park Board members heard at this month's meeting that fundraising continues for three principal projects.

Those projects are the pickleball courts at Hendelmeyer Park, which were helped last week by a $20,000 donation from Dr. Brian and Nancy Sehy, as well as the skate park expansion at Hendelmeyer Park, and the dog park at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Board members also heard about fencing around a couple of balldiamonds at Hendelmeyer Park that needs replaced, and heard that basketball leagues will be starting soon at the Workman Sports and Wellness Complex.

The Board tabled action on employee health insurance coverage, as Park District Director Jeff Althoff said work is still underway to seek proposals on coverage.
