First Installment of Property Tax Bill Due Friday

Effingham County property tax owners are reminded that at least the first installment of your property tax bill is due this Friday.

The due date is Friday if you want to avoid paying a 1-1/2%/month penalty for late payment of your bill.

The second installment of your bill is due by Friday, October 22.

Be sure to take along your bill when making your tax payment. You can pay your tax bill at any financial institution in the county as well as at the office of County Treasurer Paula Miller, located on the second floor of the Effingham County Office Building at 4th and Jefferson in Effingham. The office is open from 8am to 4pm weekdays.
