Teutopolis village board members Wednesday appeared to favor allowing use of side-by-sides within the village limits.

The matter has been discussed at recent meetings. In a straw poll taken at the meeting, the vote was 4-2 in favor of allowing side-by-side use. A vote to formally allow the use is planned at a future meeting.

Board members heard from Tina Brumleve with Designs Unlimited regarding incentives available if the business relocates to a new building in Wooden Shoe Development on the village's west side.

The Board passed an ordinance authorizing a redevelopment agreement with SRMD Solutions. The business plans to relocate from Dieterich to Wooden Shoe Development. Board members also approved a subdivision plat in Wooden Shoe for BT Enterprises.

There was discussion of lowering the lot prices in Prairie View Subdivision. It was suggested to lower the price to $10,000 for individuals and to $5,000 for contractors, but there was no action to finalize those prices.

The Board also approved a $33,000 payment to John L. Lewis Concrete Construction for the sidewalks in Phase I of Prairie View Subdivision.
