Canarm held a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of their first Canarm named operation in the United States, the Teutopolis Distribution Center located at 709 East Main Street on the east side of the village.

Canarm is a global marketer and manufacturer of lighting, air moving, and related products, supplying the residential and agriculture market. Their customers are mainly wholesalers, retailers and distributors. Canarm arrived in Teutopolis due to their relationship with Farmweld, which is located next door, and the founder of Farmweld, Frank Brummer.

Representing Canarm for the ribbon-cutting were Jim Cooper, President and Chief Operating Officer; Susan Lamers, Vice President of Logistics and Warehousing; and Ken Stern, Warehouse Manager.
