South Central School Board Takes No Action to Change Return to Learn Plan

South Central school board members Thursday took no action on possible changes to the district's Return to Learn Plan for the coming school year.

The plan currently encourages the use of masks if students are not vaccinated against COVID-19, but does not require mask wearing.

Thursday evening's storms knocked out electric service to the school, but the meeting proceeded by flashlight.

Some three dozen people attended the 2-1/2 hour meeting, with no one speaking in favor of the mask mandate.

The South Central board will hold its regular monthly meeting this coming Wednesday night, but the Return to Learn Plan is not currently on the agenda.
