Lake Sara Beach Park Phase 2 Workshop Set for Saturday Morning

The first phase of the Lake Sara Beach Park project is in operation. 

Now, it's time to plan for Phase Two.

The second phase will involve the selection of teen and adult recreational activities. A workshop is scheduled for Saturday morning from 10:00 until noon in the pavilion east of the beach playground. The planning session will be hosted by the Effingham Water Authority Parks and Recreation Committee.

Parks and Recreation Committee Chairman Tom Ryan said this is an opportunity to "make your voice heard" as to what should be included in Phase Two.

Phase One included a large playground area for children along with a path accessible to all leading to the water's edge, as well as a disc golf course and an accessible fishing dock.
