Former Flora resident Logan Travers has been found guilty of felony domestic battery during a bench trial in Clay County Circuit Court.

The 34-year-old Travers was found guilty by Judge Kevin Parker at the trial Wednesday.

Clay County State's Attorney Andrew Koester said Travers was found guilty of an incident in November 2019 when Travers grabbed the waist of a family member and threw her to the ground. The offense was elevated to a felony due a prior conviction for Travers of violating a prior order of protection. Koester said two separate victims of Travers testified against him at trial.

Koester said, "Domestic battery cases are some of the most sensitive and difficult cases to prosecute. The victims in this case displayed absolute courage and composure in speaking out against their abuser. I am proud of them."

Judge Parker will sentence Travers on September 13.
