First Phase of Lake Sara Beach Park Officially Open

The first phase of the Lake Sara Beach Park is officially open.

An event for major donors and those closely involved in the project was held Friday evening. The ribbon cutting for the general public was held Saturday morning.

Phase One involves playground areas for young people of all abilities, including a walkway right down to the water's edge. The playground has a pirate's theme and three buccaneers...Janet Kennedy, Cheryl Habing and Norma Lansing...were on hand to greet the visitors to Phase One Saturday morning.
