Vandalia Woman Sentenced to Prison Time for Drugs

A Vandalia woman was sentenced to three years in prison Thursday in Effingham County Circuit Court for drugs.

45-year-old Ina Blankenship pled guilty to methamphetamine delivery. Other drug-related counts were dismissed as part of the plea.

Blankenship was arrested in March by Illinois State Police. 

Once out of prison, Blankenship will serve one year mandatory supervised release. She was given 128 days served while awaiting disposition of her case.
