Beecher City school board members have approved a contract with district teachers covering the next three school years.

Beecher City Superintendent Phil Lark said teachers will receive a 4.71% increase in each of those years. The move will get teachers to at least the $40,000/year salary rate required by the State by the start of the 2023-2024 school year.

The Board also approved an average 3.2% increase for non-certified staff members for the coming school year, and a 3% increase for administrators for the coming school year.

Board members also approved officials and workers pay for athletic events; hired Connor Wachtel as a Social Studies teacher for the coming school year; and hired Marla Kruger as the Special Education van driver.
