Kluthe Memorial Pool Back Open Today

After several days down due to a busted water line and repairs to the pumps, the Kluthe Memorial Pool at Evergreen Hollow Park in Effingham is back open today.

Park District Director Jeff Althoff said the maintenance crew worked hard Tuesday to get the pool back up and running.

The water line busted beyond the shut off valve, and the water in the pool flooded the area where the pumps are located. The pumps had to be removed, dried out, regreased and reinstalled before the pool could be back in operation, but things are back to normal today.
