One Driver Injured When Two Semis Collide in Cumberland County

Two vehicles collided on Illinois Route 130 in Cumberland County Tuesday morning.

The crash happened just after 8:30am near Greenup. State Police report a southbound semi driven by 55-year-old Reuben Diaz of Chicago ran off the roadway onto the shoulder. Diaz overcorrected and crossed back over the highway to the left, striking the trailer of a northbound semi driven by 49-year-old Michael Milton of Olive Hill, Kentucky. The impact caused Diaz's semi to overturn, blocking the roadway.

Diaz was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries. Milton was not reported injured.

Diaz was cited for improper lane usage.
