Due to the rainy weather, the City's Pavement Preservation Project will not begin until Wednesday of this week.

The Effingham City Engineer's Office said the work that had been scheduled for Monday and Tuesday of this week will be moved to the end of the project. That means the work scheduled for Wednesday will still be done on Wednesday, and so on.

The Pavement Preservation Project is intended to extend the usable life of street surfaces. A reminder that when the project begins, you're asked to refrain from driving on the asphalt sealant while it cures for 24 hours. Please do not drive on, walk on, or touch the asphalt sealant.
