Results of Municipal Elections in Effingham County

Here are the results of municipal races Tuesday in Effingham County:

In Beecher City, Renee Schoenfeld was elected Village President, Kathy Doty, Jason Wells and Denise Childress were elected to four-year village trustee terms, and Jessica Christianson was elected to a two-year unexpired trustee term.

In Dieterich, challenger Brad Hardiek defeated incumbent Burl Griffith 165-65 for Village President, while Mike Meyer, Mike French and JoAnn Donaldson were elected village trustees.

In Edgewood, James Pagel was elected Village President while Ervin Yocum was the only candidate for one of three seats on the village board.

In Montrose, Carolyn Jansen was elected Village President and Derek Schorman, Eric Esker and William Kingery were elected village trustees.

In Shumway, Linda Moore was elected Village President, Derrick Helmbacher was elected Village Clerk, and Darren Klepzig was the only candidate on the ballot for one of three trustee seats on the Village Board.

In Teutopolis, Greg Hess was elected Village President after Jerry Weber decided not to seek re-election.  Those elected village trustees were John J. Mette, David Tegeler and Gregory Oseland.

In Watson, Duane Sapp was elected Village President, Mary J. Beck was chosen Village Clerk, and Colby Higgs, John Flack and Arthur Walker were elected Village Trusteees.

In Mason, Sandy Henderson defeated Shane Monnet for Town Board President, Tina Moore was elected Town Clerk, Melody Culver was returned as Town Treasurer, and those elected Town Trustees Tuesday are Brenda Byers, Donald Flowers and Vivian Cain.
