Effingham Man Arrested in Coles County on Arson Charge

An Effingham man has been arrested in Coles County on an arson charge.

Mattoon city police arrested 26-year-old Reilly Condron on Thursday morning. The charge alleges that Mattoon Fire and Police were dispatched on May 22 in reference to a vehicle fire. The fire was identified as suspicious in nature and information was gathered that identified Condron as a suspect for starting the fire. Additional evidence was obtained through multiple sources that indicated Condron initiated the vehicle fire.

Bond for Condron has been set at $15,000. He is due in court for a preliminary hearing on June 21.
