Six-Year Prison Sentence for Drugs in Clay County

Flora resident Brittani Workman has been sentenced in Clay County Court to six years in prison. The sentence was imposed for multiple counts of unlawful delivery of methamphetamine.

Clay County State's Attorney Andrew Koester said the 29-year-old Workman was charged on three separate occasions with delivery of methh at her residence in Flora.

Workman will serve two years' mandatory supervised release once out of prison.

Koester said, "Methamphetamine is a cancer on the communities it's in. I want to thank the Southeastern Illinois Drug Task Force and the Flora Police Department for their hard work in getting a drug dealer off the streets."
