28 Mailboxes Damaged in Fayette County

Fayette County authorities are working with the Effingham County Sheriff's Department on the cases of mailbox damage reported earlier this week.

Fayette County Sheriff Chris Palmer said 28 mailboxes have been reported damaged in his county. That's after reports of 115 mailboxes being damaged in Effingham County. There were also numerous reports of vehicles being "egged' in Effingham County.

No arrests have been made in Fayette County, but two 18-year-olds, Trevor Donsbach of Effingham and Matthew Faught of Dieterich, have been charged with criminal damage to property in Effingham County. They are each free on cash bond.

Donsbach and Faught are next due in court on June 2.
