Members of the Effingham County Board's Ambulance Oversight Committee Tuesday continued to research whether enough ambulance rigs are available in case of emergencies.

Committee member Matt Sager said it's not enough to research Status Zero situations, but to also research how many rigs are needed. That's something that will be a key point as the County negotiates its next ambulance contract that will take effect in 2022.

Also Tuesday, Abbott Ambulance officials said the nine EMT students that began their studies in recent weeks are all on track to graduate this month. The class is being operated under the guidance of Lake Land College.
