Weather Service Provides Results of Thursday's Storms

The National Weather Service has released findings of Thursday's series of storms which, while numerous, did not result in serious damage or injuries.

A tornado was reported at 3:10pm two miles south of Altamont by firefighters. There was a brief touchdown.

Law enforcement reported a tornado at 3:30pm at Mason. The tornado touched down briefly, but was close to touching down again. No damage was reported.

A tornado was confirmed at 3:30pm one mile north-northeast of Edgewood. The twister only lasted for a minute and traveled about 20 yards. Law enforcement reported a brief touchdown near Mile Marker 145 along I-57. No damage was reported.

A funnel cloud was spotted by a trained weather spotter one mile north of Iola in Clay County at 3:40pm. The spotter was unable to tell whether the funnel cloud was reaching the ground.

Another tornado was reported two miles south of Noble at 5:01pm. Again, the tornado only lasted a minute and no damage was reported.
