Ethan Weidner Wins Sheriff's Association County Scholarship

Effingham County Sheriff David Mahon has announced that Ethan Weidner, son of Matthew and Jennifer Weidner of Dieterich, is the 2021 Illinois Sheriff's Association $500 scholarship winner from Effingham County.

Ethan will graduate this year from Teutopolis High School and plans to further his education at Lake Land Community College, enrolling in the Agriculture program with a goal of becoming an Animal Nutritionist.

Danielle Having, daughter of Jeff and Diane Having of Effingham, was selected as first alternate in the scholarship competition.
