Body Found in Lake Shelbyville Saturday

The body of a Mattoon man was found in Lake Shelbyville Saturday.

Illinois State Police Division of Criminal Investigation Zone 5 is investigating the incident. The body of 70-year-old Donald E. Pygott was found about 9pm in the water near Wolf Creek State Park in Shelby County.

Pygott was reported missing by family earlier Saturday.

The Shelby County Sheriff's Office, Shelby County Dive Team, Shelby County Coroner's Office, and Illinois Department of Natural Resources Conservation Police are assisting in the investigation.
