Two Injured in Two Vehicle Crash

Illinois State Police report at 9:10 Friday night a Suv driven by Duane P. Poelher, 86 of Dieterich, was traveling northbound on 1775th Street, approaching the intersection with Illinois Route 33 in St. Francis Township of Effingham County. A truck driven by Devin M. Wright, 26 also from Dieterich, was traveling westbound on Illinois Route 33.  Poelher failed to yield the right-of-way and was struck on the passenger side as the Suv crossed in front of Wright's truck.

Poelher and his passenger, Pamela L. Bloemer 74 of Teutopolis, were transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. 

Wright and his passenger, Peyton A. Reiss 24 from Edwardsville, reported no injuries at the scene.
