Cumberland school board members heard end of year plans at this month's meeting.

High school baccalaureate will take place at 5pm on Sunday, May 9, and high school graduation will be held at 2pm on Sunday, May 16.

Cumberland district will have no school on Fridays, April 30, May 7 and May 14. Those Fridays are emergency days with no student attendance, unless they are needed for an emergency.

The Board approved resignations from Marla Markwell at the end of the school year, and from April Webb at the end of the school year, and also approved the support staff job and shift assignments for the coming school year. Also approved were the irrevocable letters of retirement from Jill Mathenia, Sandy Hille and Ann Miller on the last day of the 2024-2025 school year. It was also agreed to post the open jobs of grade school cook and elementary special education teacher.
