St. Elmo school board members finalized their Back to School plan for the balance of the school year.

2:30pm early dismissals will remain in effect for the remainder of the school year, with the intent to return to a normal schedule for the coming school year. May 27 will be the last day of student attendance for this school year, with an 11:30am early dismissal.

The St. Elmo board also reorganized following the election earlier this month.

Kevin Maxey was elected Board President, Shannon Moss was elected Vice President, and Andra Carson was elected Board Secretary. The Board also appointed Marcia Heckert as District Treasurer.

Josh Fulk was appointed to be the district's representative to the governing committee of the Kaskaskia Division of the Illinois Association of School Boards, with Chad Wilhour appointed alternate delegate. Shannon Moss was named the coming school year's board representative to the Mid-State Special Education Cooperative.

In other business, St. Elmo board members approved a contract with Illini Restoration for masonry repairs, and discussed but made no changes to community service requirements at St. Elmo High School.
