New Officers Chosen for Teutopolis School Board

New officers were chosen for the Teutopolis Board of Education at this week's meeting.

The officers include Board President Brad Koester, Vice President Courtney Tegeler, and Board Secretary Chandler Hewing. The Board also appointed Sarah Nelson as Board Treasurer.

Those elected to the school board this month were seated, including Toby McMahon, Troy Ozenkoski, Erin Ordner, Courtney Tegeler and Michael Ritchie. The Board also accepted the results of the failed election ballot advisory question. Board members discussed the ballot question and the results of the vote. The question could be placed on the ballot the next time there is a school board election, which will be in 2023.

The Board appointed members Erin Ordner and Michael Ritchie to serve on the Teutopolis Educational Foundation Committee; appointed Troy Ozenkoski as the district's representative on the Eastern Illinois Area of Special Education Governing Board with Toby McMahon as alternate; and appointed Brad Koester to the Illinois Association of School Boards Wabash Valley Division Governing Board.
