(UPDATE) Break-In at Legacy Nets Five Motorcycles

Effingham city police are investigating the theft of five motorcycles from Legacy Harley Davidson overnight.

Police responded at 12:08am today to an active burglar alarm at the dealership at 1315 Althoff Drive. Arriving officers found forced entry through the front door of the business.

Officers discovered that five unknown subjects made entry. Each subject selected a motorcycle, started them, and drove off through the front door.

Effingham Police Department is working with Illinois Secretary of State Police to see whether similar events have occurred in this region.
