Vacancy Filled on Clay County Board

A vacancy has been filled on the Clay County Board.

Jeremy Kohn was named to fill the seat from District J. Kohn was appointed to replace John Bayler, who resigned from the Board.

The Board also appointed Danny Fender as a North Clay Fire Protection District trustee and Terry Stewart as a Clay City Fire Protection District trustee, both until May 2024.

Also appointed were Kevin Logan to the County Board of Review for a two-year term and Hugh Kessler to the Farmland Assessment Review Committee for a three-year term.

County Board Chairman Joe Goodman, who also serves as liquor commissioner, said he plans to resume fee charges for special events liquor licenses. The licenses were cancelled last year due to COVID-19.
