$1.7 million in state funds have been released to help with work on the parking lot at Lake Land College.

The funding will be paired with local dollars on the $2.3 million project. The funding will help address deferred maintenance on Lake Land's campus that has accummulated while the school waited on State dollars.

The project includes the replacement of the pavement in Parking Lot A and drainage improvements.

Lake Land College President Josh Bullock said, "We appreciate the State's investment in Lake Land College's critical infrastructure. Renovating this dated and deteriorating parking lot will greatly enhance the safety of our students and staff, and remedy ongoing drainage issues that have plagued the campus."
