More details have been released on the Thursday morning crash in Effingham where a pickup truck ran into the side of an apartment building.

Effingham City Police report a pickup truck driven by 56-year-old Ronald Dare of Effingham left the roadway and struck a building at 515 St. Anthony Avenue owned by Darlene Buehnerkemper of Teutopolis. Landscaping at the building and landscaping owned by Larry Lambert of Effingham next door was also damaged.

Dare and a passenger, 64-year-old Martin Shadwell of Effingham, were both injured and were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

No one in the apartment building was injured.
