Village of Teutopolis Has Water Service Back, Under Boil Order

Water service has been restored in the village of Teutopolis following repair of a main main break.

Village officials said a utility company was working along Southern Row Street about 2pm when they struck a main water line. At first, village crews tried to make repairs without shutting off water service, but were unable to make headway on the repairs until the water was completely shut off about 2:30pm.

Now that service has been restored, the village will be under a boil order until further notice.
