Altamont city council members Monday tabled action on a timber harvesting project at the city's water reservoir.

The proposal is to use Travis Voelker, who plans to use horses in the harvesting project. Council members decided to have a formal plan of action formulated and to bring in a forester who will select what trees to take down.

Council members did approve a home occupation license for Pam Dammerman, who will operate a real estate business next door to her residence on Main Street.

Also approved was a roadside fundraiser request for the Effingham Knights of Columbus Council, to be held April 16.
