Park Board Updated on Spring Program Signups

The Effingham Park Board Wednesday received updates on spring sports program signups.

Park District Director Jeff Althoff said the signups for baseball and softball are below the numbers seen last year prior to the pandemic, but expects signups to pick up in the rest of this week and by the end of next week.

Althoff also said signups for the new Spring Soccer program are doing well for its first year.

Althoff said that Patty Smith from the Workman Sports and Wellness Complex reported that people who have had their memberships on hold due to the pandemic are beginning to reactivate those memberships.
