Effingham resident Anthony Jamison Thursday was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Jamison was arrested in October 2020.

In exchange for his guilty plea, the 22-year-old Jamison had other pending criminal cases against him dismissed. He was also given credit for the time he's spent in jail awaiting disposition of his case.

Jamison will serve one year of mandatory supervised release once out of prison.
