Two trucks collided in Clay County at Xenia Monday night, and three people were injured.

The crash happened at 10:10pm on US Route 50 at Old Route 50 at Xenia.

Illinois State Police say a box truck driven by 34-year-old Romano Ruslan of Orlando, Florida was traveling east on Route 50. Police say Ruslan was traveling too fast for the heavy snow conditions and lost control of the truck, crossing into the westbound lanes. Ruslan's truck sideswiped a truck driven by 48-year-old Robert Hale of Lawrenceville.

Both Ruslan and Hale were injured, as was Hale's passenger, 18-year-old Alex Carrell of Lawrenceville. All three were taken for treatment.

Ruslan was cited for driving too fast for conditions, improper lane usage, and illegal transportation of liquor by a driver.
