Five New Positive COVID Tests in County Reported Friday

The Effingham County Health Department Friday reported just five new positive cases of coronavirus disease in the county. The County reported single-digit totals for new cases almost every day this week.
The report, though, does include the COVID-related deaths of a man in his 70s and a man in his 80s.
The Friday total follows just three new COVID cases in the county reported Thursday.
The demographic breakfown for Friday is as follows:
MALES--one in his teens and one in his 40s
FEMALES--one in her 50s, one in her 70s, and one in her 80s
Illinois Region 6 test positivity seven-day rolling average was 4% through February 2, and Effingham County came in at 4.5% for the same period.
