4,191 New Confirmed and Probable Cases of COVID-19 Thursday in Illinois

The Illinois Department of Public Health Thursday reported 4,191 new confirmed and probable cases of coronavirus disease in the state, including 103 COVID-related deaths.

The deaths included a Coles County man in his 70s.

As of Wednesday night, 2,802 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 567 patients were in the ICU and 292 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.

Within the 24 hours prior to Thursday noon, more than 100,000 specimens were received for testing.
