Eight New Positive COVID Cases in County Wednesday

The Effingham County Health Department Wednesday announced eight new positive COVID test results.

The demographic breakdown:

MALES--one in his 20s and three in their 40s

FEMALES--one less than 10 years old, one in her teens, one in her 20s, and one in her 60s

Illinois Region 6 test positivity seven-day rolling average was 5.1% through January 24, and Effingham County came in at 5.9% for the same period.

You're asked to mask up properly, wash hands properly, maintain six foot social distancing, and avoid large groups.
