Vaccine Slots Already Filled for Friday Clinic

The slots are already filled for Friday's COVID vaccine clinic at the Effingham County Health Department.

The Health Department's Karen Feldkamp said the public crashed their phone lines when reservation began being taken at 8am today. The available slots were booked up within 10 minutes. Much of this shipment is being used to give the second vaccination to health care workers in the county.

However, the Health Department anticipates another shipment of vaccine for a clinic to be scheduled next week. You're asked to phone the Department at the main number, 342-9237, and leave a message on the COVID line. The message will say "COVID line" when you phone the regular number.
