Just Six New Positive COVID Cases in County, but Two Deaths

The Effingham County Health Department Tuesday announced the COVID-related deaths of a man in his 50s and a man in his 70s.

The Health Department, though, said there were just six new positive cases of COVID-19 Tuesday in the county.

Those included a male in his 20s, a male in his 30s, a male in his 40s, and a male in his 80s, along with a female in her 20s and a female in her 90s.

Illinois Region 6 test positivity seven-day rolling average was 5.3% through January 23, and Effingham County came in at 6.3% for the same period.
