The Windsor school board has agreed to consider offering free tuition to children of employees who live outside the district.

Superintendent Erik VanHoveln said board members viewed the idea favorably, so a hearing will be held to gain input from the public. The idea has worked in other districts as an incentive to get teachers to work in certain districts.

The Board was to discuss possible summer building projects, but the bid didn't arrive in time for the meeting so the matter will be considered in February.

The Board awarded a bid for food products, and voted to go with Teacher Ease as a student data package on a one-year trial basis.

Windsor board members also accepted a resignation from Amy Greuel as junior high track coach.
