North Clay school board members Wednesday heard that things are at least starting to get back to normal in the district.

One indicator is that North Clay and Altamont had a high school Scholar Bowl match scheduled Thursday night.

Board members also heard that the elementary and junior high After School Program started Thursday. The program is targeting students that are at-risk for retention and don't meet academic benchmarks.

The Board heard that HVAC work was completed at the high school over the Christmas break, and that improvements are nearing completion to the water heating system in the high school building.

An application for grant funds totaling just under $1,000 was approved by the State for the purchase of native plants for the North Clay campus.

The Board learned that high school teachers, guidance department members and administrators have been meeting this week to review curriculum needs for next school year, and heard that high school students have been participating in a credit recovery program during January.
