Just Seven Positive COVID Cases in County Friday

The Effingham County Health Department reported just seven positive cases of COVID-19 in the county Friday.
As far as males, a man in his 40s and a man in his 50s tested positive.
As far as females, a girl less than 10 years old tested positive, along with a woman in her 30s, a woman in her 40s, and two women in their 70s.
Illinois Region 6 test positivity seven-day rolling average was 7.9% through January 12, and Effingham County came in at 14.5% for the same period.
The Health Department asks you to stay home if you are sick or waiting on test results. Everyone is asked to do their part in reducing the spread of COVID by masking up properly, washing hands regularly, maintaining six-foot social distancing, and avoiding large groups.
